about

Behind the lyrics:
The lyrics of Busted Busy Busty are spoken from the point of view of the character Busty. Busty is a criminal and an all-around not-clutch dude. Busty hears a rumor that the rapture prophesied by the bible is about to occur. Busty is excited for the rapture to occur because the bible prophecizes that all of “god’s children” will be raptured and taken away from earth. Busty incorrectly believes that all law-abiding citizens will be raptured, allowing Busty to expand his criminal ventures to a whole new level without the fear of law enforcement or concern for human rights. However, in this version of the universe, all believers (without exception) wind up being raptured by a very vain god who really only cares for attention. Busty believes in god to some extent since he is excited for the rapture to occur, and is thus raptured up to heaven kicking and screaming.

lyrics

Everyone’s been sayin’
That the holy ghost is coming down
He is gonna take up
all the holy people in this town

Yeah I got 16 houses
And 13 cars
And 66 whores
And after these god fearing pigs are all raptured
I can get much more

Some [have] been sayin’ that it ain’t comin’
And that it is just a superstition

I’ve been pawning these bitches off to horny bastards
And the business is booming
And you wouldn’t believe the kind of clientele
And the volume that I could be seeing

All of these sheep be in church to repent
To increase their chance to be taken
But if all the good go up, my profits will be goin’ up
So it is me who is in real heaven

Yeah I got 16 houses
And 13 cars
And 66 whores
And after these god fearing pigs are all raptured
I can get much more

Everyone’s been sayin’
That the god is coming down

Oh what’s happening?
Lord, don’t take me!
No! What’s happening?
Lord, don’t take me!
